He was born in Izmir/Tire in 1943, he worked as an elementary school teacher for 5 years, he started caricature under the encouragement of Semih Balcıoğlu, he was the founder of the “Çarşaf” Magazine Cartoon School and introduced many young people to caricature, he published cartoon albums titled “Çizgiyle”, “İşçi Çizgisi”, “Çizgi ile İcraatın İçinden”, “Gözlüklü Martı”, and “Günlük”

He won awards in national and international cartoon competitions and served as a jury member, he organized Cartoon Workshop activities in many educational institutions

We wanted to honor Raşit Yakalı for his contributions to caricature by drawing his portraits

Conditions:

-The competition is organized on an international scale and is a single category; it is open to all amateur and professional caricaturists

-The drawing technique is free. Caricatures should be in 300 dpi resolution and in jpg format, and they must be sent to the specified email address

-The cartoon dimensions should be at least A4 (21 x 29.7 cm) and at most A3 (29.7 x 42 cm)

-The participant will be responsible for any possible disputes, theft, and similar claims

-Participants must also send their full name, address, phone number, and email address along with their cartoons

-Works submitted after the specified date will be disqualified from the competition

-The selected cartoons will be published in Tebeşir Cartoon Magazine, and copies will be sent to the authors whose works are published

-Participants can send as many cartoons as they wish

-An electronic “Certificate of Honor” will be sent to all participants

-All participants who submit their works to the competition are considered to have accepted the above conditions

-CATEGORIES

2. Written form (satirical short story, poem or aphorism)

-Caricature: original one, minimum up to the format of A4 (210x297mm). maximum up to the format of A3 (297x420), technics free choice (usage of computers in the course of making also permitted)

-Written form: maximum two typed pages and up to 20 aphorisms.

-One author may apply for the competition exclusively under one single code

-Only shall unpublished works be taken into consideration

-A short biography is mandatory, address, phone number and mail address of the Author

-Written works are to be sent exclusively under the CODE and via Post in three copies

-Caricatures are to be sent via post or else in a digital form (to mail address), in the format JPG, resolution of 300 dpi and in maximum size of 4 MB. We are specifying that the selected authors have to send the original caricatures

-Caricatures done on the computer have to be sent in a printed form in the format of A4 and have to be signed personally, with the indication No1
